ANN'S PRIORITIES
EDUCATION
Pre-K through post high school public education should serve all learners and provide adequate support services. Positive education outcomes benefit everyone in a community, from businesses, retirees, and families, to students themselves. Wisconsin has a proud history of superb education and educators, and this demands our continued support.
REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS
All people deserve the right to make their own decisions about their reproductive health. We need to trust women to make the best decisions for their health, families and futures.
CHILD CARE
Public policy can improve the quality and availability of childcare in our communities. Lack of affordable childcare directly impacts businesses, employers, productivity, absenteeism in addition to crippling a family’s financial and employment decisions.
HEALTH CARE
Access to affordable healthcare (including dental and vision services) is another vital piece to strong communities. No family should be bankrupted by an adverse health event or necessary prescription medication.
FAIR WAGES
We need to address the state's minimum wage and the rising overall cost of living. Wisconsin loses workers to other states with better wages and benefits. Constantly playing catch-up does not serve our workers and it is not good policy.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Wisconsin, like the rest of the United States, is in a dire affordable housing crisis. As with my other priorities, this situation is a multi-pronged problem that is directly affected by wages, the cost of healthcare, and cost of childcare.
CLEAN WATER
All communities deserve access to clean water free from PFAS and residual industrial waste. We need to work in partnership with state agencies and production facilities to keep our water clean for everyone.
